    Description:
    Responsibilities/Expectations:

    • Leads end-to-end administration, engineering, licensing, and governance of the Microsoft 365 platform including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Copilot, and Entra ID
    • Ownership of collaboration platform strategies by monitoring the Microsoft 365 roadmap, evaluating emerging capabilities for business value and security fit, and guiding testing, staging, and production readiness
    • Ensures platform reliability by providing Tier 3 support, leading root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews, and documenting solutions that improve system stability
    • Manage enterprise identity and access through Microsoft Entra ID by enforcing SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access controls, identity governance, least-privilege licensing, and permissions reviews
    • Strengthen platform security and compliance using Microsoft Purview, Insider Risk Management, data classification, DLP, retention, eDiscovery, and pre-rollout security hardening for major platform changes
    • Analyzes business and technical requirements to design, develop, and implement Microsoft 365 solutions, leveraging project management best practices and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable technology solutions that improve and integrate business processes
    • Provides technical leadership and mentorship within a broader team
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education/Years of Experience:

    • Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum fifteen (15) years' IT experience, OR Associate's degree and a minimum ten (10) years' IT experience, OR Bachelor's degree in IT-related field and a minimum eight (8) years' IT experience

    Other Requirements:

    • Participation in 24/7 on-call support
    • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

    Key Requirements

    Required Experience

    10 15 years of IT infrastructure/system administration experience.

    Deep expertise in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

    Strong administration experience with:

    Exchange Online

    SharePoint Online

    Microsoft Teams

    OneDrive

    Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

    Microsoft 365 licensing (E3, E5)

    Preferred Skills

    Microsoft Purview

    eDiscovery

    Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

    Retention policies

    General Microsoft 365 security knowledge (not a dedicated security role)

    Primary Responsibilities

    Lead administration of the Microsoft 365 environment.

    Manage:

    Exchange

    SharePoint

    Teams

    OneDrive

    Entra ID

    Administer Microsoft licensing (E3/E5).

    Build and configure SharePoint sites.

    Manage SharePoint permissions and security.

    Monitor Microsoft's product roadmap and evaluate new features.

    Present recommendations and business value to stakeholders.

    Support Microsoft 365 platform strategy and continuous improvement.

    On-Call Support

    Rotating on-call schedule with one other administrator.

    Primarily responsible for Priority 1 (critical) outages.

    Limited after-hours support for major production issues.

    Recruiters should clearly communicate on-call expectations before submission.

    Must be willing to provide after-hours/on-call support, including overnight for critical (P1) incidents. Looking for someone who is proactive, takes ownership, responds quickly, and drives issues to resolution with minimal supervision.
