Systems Administrator

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Systems Administrator job in Indianapolis, IN. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the life science industry. In this role, you will be responsible for owning backup and recovery processes, supporting lab environments, and moving users and systems from a legacy domain to a new domain. In order to be successful in this position, you must have strong Windows Server, VEEAM, and SQL backup experience along with Tier 2 support skills. Preference will be given to someone with IT experience in the life science industry supporting systems that connect to lab environments.

Systems Administrator Job responsibilities:

• Own VEEAM backup processes, including scheduling, retention policies, monitoring, and recovery testing.
• Administer Windows Server backups, including configuration, job monitoring, troubleshooting, and patch and update coordination.
• Manage SQL backups and restores, run integrity checks, and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Support re-domaining activity as users and systems move from a legacy domain to a new domain.
• Set up and maintain lab environments, including imaging and hardware and software testing.
• Provide Tier 2 IT support, document resolutions, and escalate to Tier 3 as needed.

Qualifications:

• Five to seven years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in IT Management
• Windows Server administration and hosting experience
• VEEAM and SQL backup and recovery experience
• Domain migration or re-domaining experience
• IT experience supporting lab systems in the life science industry preferred

This contract Systems Administrator job is based in Indianapolis, IN. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $35.00 - $40.00. Contractors working through Aquinas Consulting are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, medical indemnity coverage, a 401(k) plan, and biweekly direct deposit pay. Contract roles do not include PTO unless required by applicable state laws.
