Systems Administrator

ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC is seeking a System Administrator to support the U.S. Space Force's Critical Satellite Communications (C-SAR) mission in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, you will help ensure the reliability, performance, and readiness of mission-critical systems that support MILSATCOM operations around the globe.This is an opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge satellite command and control technologies in a highly collaborative environment where your contributions have a direct impact on national security and space operations.Location: CCS-C Satellite System at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, CO.Clearance: At a minimum, Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.

What You'll Bring

Required QualificationsAt a minimum, Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.Current Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II), or ability to obtain within 90 days of hireBachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience supporting MILSATCOM operations, satellite command and control systems, or a related developmental/operational environment preferredMust be self-motivated and capable of interacting with organizations internally and externally that consist of groups of operators, developers, engineers, testers and product vendors.Must be able to articulate technical concepts verbally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in any of these areas is beneficial: Unix, Linux, Oracle Database, Access Database. IMDS, Active Directory, Cactus and Vsphere, however, training will be provided as needed.Knowledge of Satellite Systems Operations.Two to four years of experience in a MILSATCOM developmental or operational environment or Satellite Command and Control systems experience, is desired.Ability to comprehend new information in a dynamic environment.Be able to apply and communicate learned knowledge."Team" orientated.

Job DutiesThe Systems Administrator will help to maintain the DoD Command & Control System - Consolidated (CCS-C). Duties will include, but not be limited to...

Maintain domain file servers, archive file servers, live operational network access, and document and analyze system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment and system performance.Establish and maintain operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for C2 computer systems.Monitor and prepare system for operational use.Support operational testing.
