Job Details:
Title: System/Software Technician-I
Location: Oakland CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay: $35 - $37 per hour
Shift: This role requires working Monday - Friday 7: 30am to 4pm, with occasional overtime. There may be a need to rotate between shifts to support operational and business needs. There will be a two-week notice provided whenever this is needed.

An independent innovation team focused on exploring robotics and automation technologies to transform last-mile logistics. The team develops and tests advanced autonomous systems and solutions used in large-scale delivery operations.
 
About the Role
We are seeking a strong operator to support the bring-up, calibration, testing, and logging of advanced technologies. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors at a closed-course test track in Oakland. The role requires comfort with riding an electric bike and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
 
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with hardware, product, and software teams to improve product performance and functionality.
  • Execute and document tests to validate autonomous technologies.
  • Understand system behavior, product capabilities, existing and new issues, and additional requirements.
  • Follow established processes, testing programs, and checklists with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Regularly communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess system behavior and triage issues.
  • Support the testing and validation of new products and technologies.
 
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience or a strong interest in robotics, automation, autonomous systems, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with automotive systems and/or computer systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a test-track environment.
  • Experience or interest in live field operations and product deployments;experience with autonomous vehicles is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow detailed test plans and processes.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools for issue tracking, feedback collection, scheduling fixes, and monitoring progress.
