System Safety Engineer II : $80.75
As a System Safety Engineer II, your responsibilities will include: Assisting with and implementing one or more MIL STD 882E compliant system safety programs Performing MIL STD 882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400). Assisting with analysis of engineering hardware and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance Working with test and tactical operating and maintenance procedures to assure the proper administrative controls are in place Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls. Provide creative solutions to maximize safety functionality without impeding critical performance. Responsibilities to Anticipate: Assist with design of concise, testable safety requirements or providing safety analysis of existing requirements Assist with performing System Safety Program or Design analyses Collaborating with other disciplines during program technical execution, Interfacing with key stakeholders (e.g. customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors) Assisting in preparation of Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer Approval Assisting with briefing safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process Reviewing Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards Assisting in preparation internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program.
Senior System Safety Engineer : $89.75
As a Senior System Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing one or more MIL STD 882E compliant system safety programs Performing MIL STD 882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400). Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls. Coordinating with customer safety representatives applying methods, standards, and techniques to provide clarification of system requirements to software, hardware, and test personnel to ensure design and architecture considerations are appropriately allocated to the system and horizontally integrated across the development teams. Collaborating with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgrounds. Key Responsibilities will include: Performing System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses Briefing safety considerations at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design Interfacing with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering Managing System Safety Working Group(s) between key Raytheon and Customer representatives
Principal System Safety Engineer : $100/hr
