    Overview

    We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented System Engineer I to join the Imaging & Logistics team. This role supports the preparation, configuration, testing, inventory management, staging, and deployment of customer-facing technology solutions. The position works closely with the team to ensure hardware is accurately configured, tested, tracked, secured, and delivered on schedule. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working with technology and hardware, and able to follow established processes in a fast-paced operational environment.

    Duties

    • Image, configure, stage, and deploy desktops, tablets, and other technology hardware.

    • Perform hardware and software testing to verify devices meet deployment and quality standards.

    • Receive, inspect, inventory, and track technology assets throughout the deployment process.

    • Apply asset tags and maintain accurate inventory and asset accountability records.

    • Package, prepare, and coordinate equipment for shipment to customer and government locations.

    • Troubleshoot imaging, configuration, hardware, and deployment issues and escalate complex issues when appropriate.

    • Follow documented procedures, security requirements, quality control standards, and deployment processes.

    • Support programs subject to state, federal, CJIS, customer-specific, or other security requirements.

    • Maintain required security clearances, background investigations, fingerprinting, and access credentials as necessary to support assigned programs.

    • Assist with operational improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and special projects.

    • Work collaboratively with the Imaging & Logistics team to meet deployment schedules and operational priorities.

    Required Skills

    • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • 3+ years of experience in IT support, hardware deployment, device imaging, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related technical environment.

    • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and computer hardware.

    • Basic hardware troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records.

    • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong sense of accountability for equipment, inventory, and assigned tasks.

    • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

    • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required state, federal, customer, or agency-specific security clearances, background investigations, fingerprinting, and access credentials as a condition of employment.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with device imaging, configuration, and deployment tools.

    • Experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or technology logistics.

    • Familiarity with asset management systems and inventory tracking processes.

    • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software deployment issues.

    • Experience supporting government, regulated, or security-sensitive technology programs.

    • Familiarity with CJIS or other security and compliance requirements.

    • Experience working in a structured quality-control or technical operations environment.
