Our client, a Fortune 300 a computer hard drive disk manufacturer and data storage company, is seeking a System Development and Support Engineer II to join their Global Manufacturing IT team. Responsibilities Provide support and project development for automation, MES, and manufacturing applications including design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support.

System Development and Support Engineer II
Location: San Jose, CA (On-Site)
5-Month W2 Assignment (potential to extend / convert)
Pay: $45-50 / HR

Our client, a Fortune 300 a computer hard drive disk manufacturer and data storage company, is seeking a System Development and Support Engineer II to join their Global Manufacturing IT team. This role will support and develop automation, MES, and manufacturing-related applications that are critical to production operations. Responsibilities

• Provide support and project development for automation, MES, and manufacturing applications including design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support.
• Collaborate with business teams to define manufacturing business specifications and requirements.
• Ensure application uptime and availability for end users on the manufacturing floor.
• Conduct application performance monitoring and drive continuous improvements.
• Research and develop solutions for new technology insertion into manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (required).
• 1 3 years of IT software development experience, preferably in a multinational corporation.
• Strong knowledge of system analysis methodology and system development.
• Solid project coordination and database troubleshooting skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in the electronics manufacturing sector or IT manufacturing domain preferred.
• Familiarity with:
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Equipment integration, transaction automation, parametric data integration
  • Java programming, AS400, Linux, and Data Integration Services (preferred)
• Proficiency in SQL queries and database design.
• Strong understanding of coding standards and organizational programming practices.
