System/Concept Design Engineer

We are seeking a System/Concept Design Engineer to provide system engineering support for new product architecture and concept development, including system sizing, modeling, trade studies, subsystem allocation, preliminary interfaces, performance and cost evaluation, risk/hazard analysis, early validation planning, and readiness for Concept Design Review (CDR). Participate in technical risk and hazard identification, including FMEA or other applicable risk-analysis methods.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a System/Concept Design Engineer to provide system engineering support for new product architecture and concept development, including system sizing, modeling, trade studies, subsystem allocation, preliminary interfaces, performance and cost evaluation, risk/hazard analysis, early validation planning, and readiness for Concept Design Review (CDR).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform system-level sizing and engineering assessments.
• Support analytical and modeling activities to evaluate design concepts.
• Generate and evaluate architecture concepts and alternatives.
• Conduct trade studies considering performance, cost, technical feasibility, risk, and integration impacts.
• Support allocation of system requirements to subsystems.
• Define preliminary system, subsystem, and external interfaces.
• Assess system-level performance against defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support preliminary cost and design-to-cost assessments.
• Participate in technical risk and hazard identification, including FMEA or other applicable risk-analysis methods.
• Develop early V&V strategies and identify validation needs.
• Maintain architecture assumptions, decisions, interfaces, and configuration-controlled design information.
• Prepare engineering evidence and technical documentation required for Concept Design Review (CDR).
• Support closure of CDR comments and technical action items.
