System Administrator

Troubleshoot server system problems, utilizing available tools and working in coordination with other internal groups and vendor provided technical support resources. Must have knowledge of Ansible, Python, Shell Scripting Provide administration of servers in a virtualized server environment using VMware and or Hyper-V management tools.

Roles and responsibilities

Must have knowledge of Ansible, Python, Shell Scripting

• Provide administration of servers in a virtualized server environment using VMware and or Hyper-V management tools
• Provide administration of Windows Server 2008 and 2012 in a virtualized server environment, i.e. Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS
• Provide implementation and administration of DNS and associated networking services
• Effectively monitor Windows Servers using advanced built-in features as well as 3rd party tools
• Troubleshoot server system problems, utilizing available tools and working in coordination with other internal groups and vendor provided technical support resources
• Troubleshoot networking issues related to routing, firewalls, and DMZ architecture
• Work with other unit members to monitor and ensure compliance with corporate security policies.
• Use a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving
• Document complex system configurations, processes, and procedures

Certifications:

• MCSE and MCSA
• Experience in cloud platform, AWS and Azure preferred
