Job Description
Summary
This position leads the technical design and implementation of technologies within their disciplines. Monitors team performance against SLAs and KPIs and makes improvements to processes to ensure the highest level of efficiency and customer service.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates with other system leads and architects to align infrastructure systems with the organizations IT strategy and industry best practices.
- Monitors adherence to IT Operations SLAs and KPIs and provides recommendations for continuous improvement in efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Develops high-level designs within their technology discipline for new technology implementation, optimization, and solution delivery that aligns with the strategies within IT Operations.
- Develops strategies, priorities, and direction for systems and solutions within their technology disciplines for current and emerging technologies.
- Evaluates and recommends new products, tools, and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies within their technology discipline.
- Monitors systems performance, alerting, ensures capacity planning is performed, and is proactive in assessing and providing recommendations for improvement. Performs as an internal consultant, advocate, and change agent for their technology disciplines.
- Proactively reviews RCAs and system performance to make recommendations for improved system availability and performance.
- Works across IT to proactively communicate and understand technology project and process improvement areas to ensure operational health, monitoring, and alerting.
- Develops and maintains design patterns for their technology within their discipline.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develops and owns the technology road map to provide definition, direction, and guidance of IT infrastructure.
- Mentors others on the technical, functional, and process knowledge and skills needed to achieve results at the optimum level of performance.
- May perform a primary role as project tech leader for implementation of infrastructure projects.
- Provides advanced knowledge, skills, and experience within technology discipline.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities

Knowledge
- Knowledge in designing, installing, configuring, securing, and maintaining multiple LINUX, WINDOWS, UNIX in a high availability production/cloud environment (advanced level).
- Knowledge of data storage management sub-systems and shared computer environments (intermediate level).
- Knowledge of ITSM process-based practice and ITIL best practices approach for IT Service Management (intermediate level).
- Possess in-depth knowledge of multi-platform computer software and hardware (advanced level).
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Seven (7) years or more relevant IT experience required.
- Seven (7) years or more Systems administration or engineering lead in an enterprise environment required.
- Seven (7) years or more Monitoring, alerting, reporting, and trending for enterprise systems required.
- Seven (7) years or more Analytical skills, tools, and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions required.
- Seven (7) years or more Diagnosing, isolating, resolving complex issues, recommending, and implementing strategies to resolve problems required.
- Five (5) years or more Cloud IaaS, PaaS design implementation required.
- Relevant technical certification.

Compensation Information
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates relevant experience, education (including relevant degrees or certifications), work location, market data, ranges, internal equity, internal salary ranges, etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below.
