Description
Windows Server Administrator
Location: Timmonsville, SC
Work Type: Onsite, 4 days per week
Employment Type: W2 Only
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scripts using batch files, VBScript, and PowerShell, along with Microsoft SQL queries.
- Install, configure, maintain, and remediate vulnerabilities on Windows servers, with some Linux server support.
- Install and configure database servers, including Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Install and configure middleware platforms such as IIS. Knowledge of Devicewise is a plus.
- Work with Nutanix environments; experience with Nutanix is a plus.
- Install, manage, and configure PRTG monitoring environments.
- Manage VMware environments and virtual machines.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and process documentation.
- Understand general IT processes, project methodologies, and development methodologies.
- Follow established processes and accurately document procedures and operational activities.
- Understand change management workflows and procedures. ServiceNow knowledge is a plus.
- Work with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and security best practices.
- Adapt quickly and learn new technologies in a changing environment.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
What Will the Person Be Working On?
- Windows server administration, maintenance, configuration, security, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications (Wants)
- Completed post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent related experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience; 3-5 years preferred.
