Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced Windows Server administration support, ensuring system availability, performance, security, and business continuity across enterprise environments.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

System Administrator Job Responsibilities include:

  • Provide L3-level administration and support for Windows Server environments, ensuring system availability, stability, and operational excellence.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including Microsoft Failover Clusters, server upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning activities.

  • Troubleshoot complex operating system, performance, storage, networking, SQL clustering, and file/folder permission issues across enterprise environments.

  • Automate system administration, configuration management, and operational tasks using Ansible to improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Implement system hardening, patch management, security controls, and best practices to maintain compliance and reduce operational risk.

  • Collaborate with applications, VMware, network, storage, and security teams to support production systems, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in Windows Server Administration, Infrastructure Support, Systems Engineering, or IT Operations.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, Microsoft Failover Clustering, server migrations/upgrades, file and folder permissions, and troubleshooting performance issues across physical and virtual environments.

  • Experience with Ansible automation, root cause analysis (RCA), system hardening, patch management, and collaboration with infrastructure teams to support highly available, mission-critical enterprise systems.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $41.00 per hour
