Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate with strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux expertise, responsible for supporting mission-critical environments, driving automation, and ensuring high system availability.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

System Administrator Job Responsibilities include:

  • Provide L3-level support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, ensuring system stability, availability, and performance in mission-critical production systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex operating system, storage, networking, and application-related issues while performing detailed root cause analysis (RCA).

  • Manage and maintain Red Hat Cluster environments to ensure high availability, failover capability, and business continuity.

  • Automate system administration, configuration management, and operational tasks using Ansible to improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Implement Linux security best practices, including system hardening, patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities.

  • Collaborate with application, network, storage, and security teams to support AWS-based Linux workloads, optimize system performance, and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • 4-6 years of experience in Linux system administration, with strong hands-on experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

  • Proven expertise in L3-level Red Hat Linux administration, including troubleshooting complex OS issues, cluster management, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.

  • Strong experience with Ansible automation, Linux security hardening, patch management, and support for AWS-based Linux workloads in enterprise production environments.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour
