System Administrator

The successful candidate will partner closely with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams to research emerging threats, implement remediation solutions, and support enterprise technologies across server, network, virtualization, and cloud platforms. ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join a growing infrastructure team focused on identifying, evaluating, and remediating security vulnerabilities across on premises and cloud environments. This role plays a critical part in protecting enterprise systems while ensuring stability, performance, and compliance with established operational standards.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams to research emerging threats, implement remediation solutions, and support enterprise technologies across server, network, virtualization, and cloud platforms. This position requires a hands on professional who can independently troubleshoot complex issues, implement infrastructure improvements, and maintain a strong focus on security and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research, evaluate, and implement remediation solutions for infrastructure vulnerabilities identified through security monitoring and assessment tools

• Apply security patches, operating system updates, registry modifications, and configuration changes across enterprise environments

• Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities within established timelines

• Administer and support Windows Server environments across on premises and Microsoft Azure infrastructures

• Troubleshoot server, networking, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure related issues

• Manage and support VMware environments, including virtual servers and virtual desktop infrastructure

• Assist with network troubleshooting involving switches, routers, firewalls, and connectivity issues

• Follow established change management and change control processes for production environment modifications

• Participate in scheduled after hours maintenance activities, including patching, server reboots, and infrastructure updates

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, or a related technical discipline

• Strong experience supporting both on premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure environments

• Advanced troubleshooting experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and virtualization technologies

• Proven VMware administration and support experience within enterprise environments

• Experience implementing vulnerability remediation initiatives and infrastructure security best practices

• Familiarity with security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Qualys, SentinelOne, or similar solutions

• Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, firewalls, switches, routers, Azure Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID

• Understanding of enterprise change management, production support, and operational governance processes

• Ability to independently research technical issues and implement effective solutions

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills with a proactive and solutions focused mindset

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting VDI environments and storage profiles

• Previous experience working within highly regulated or security focused environments

• Experience within a Managed Service Provider environment

• Exposure to large scale enterprise infrastructure and cloud initiatives
