Overview:
VTG is seeking a System Administrator in Pearl City, Hawaii.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include.
- Installs and maintains local area network hardware and software including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.
- Evaluates local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations; handles related site-specific needs as required
- Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others; coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
- Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration and usage of company email, conference bridge, cell phone setup, and standard PC utilization.
- Monitors and maintains network stability.
- Communicates and coordinates network schedule, backups, and downtime to users.
- Maintains a current asset inventory and asset assignment information.
- Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services
- Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts
- Provides a variety of technical and administrative systems support to users to include.
- Servers/server backup
- Desktop computers and laptops
- Document centers and printers
- Routers and switches
- Firewalls, security updates, patches
- iPhones/Smartphones
Qualifications:
Required
-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.
-IAT Level 1 certified (DoDI 8510.01)
-One (1) year of experience performing maintenance, configuration, security and remediation of network IP devices, switches, workstations and servers, and VTCs
Desired
-One (1) year of experience performing maintenance, configuration, security and remediation of network IP devices, switches, workstations and servers, according to Navy Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
