SY 26-27 Substitute Lifeguard

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT

ATLANTIC COUNTY

Pre-K-8 School District of Excellence seeks exceptional candidates for openings for the 2026-2027 school year:

Substitute Lifeguard

Candidates must have the following:

• High School Diploma
• Current America Red Cross Advanced Lifesaving & Basic First Aid (or equivalent) Certification.
• Current New Jersey residency (or a commitment to obtain it within one year).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide proof of U.S. citizenship/legal residency.
• Strong communication skills and focus on safety and customer service

Lifeguard responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide active supervision for all swimmers
• Monitor pool chemicals, ensure equipment is operational, and keep the deck organized.
• Interact with parents and students, handle program deposits, and keep families informed.

Terms of Employment: On-call, as needed

Substitute Bus Driver positions are on call, per diem at $20/hour. If chosen, you will be required to complete a background check and other applicant requirements to be explained upon offer of employment.
