Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:45am - 4:15pm 7 Hours Per Day/35 Per Week

Classification B Paraeducator New Hire Starting Rate of Pay: $17.33 Extended School Year Calendar

QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of body mechanics for lifting student using appropriate safety procedures
• Knowledge of transferring student from one piece of equipment to another using appropriate body mechanics and safety procedures
• Knowledge of use of walkers, standers, specialized toileting equipment and giving assistance with all
• May include one on one support
• First Aid and CPR certified preferred
• Ability to effectively document daily body positions and outcomes for collaboration with ancillary staff
• Support health/medical issues as directed by teacher/administrator Human Resources

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred
• Must be able to perform two person transfers, lift, kneel, sit on floor and stand for extended periods of time
• Lifting, knowledge of adaptive equipment, knowledge of assistive technology, knowledge of appropriate physical management
• Feeding, toileting, health needs (feeding tube and other medical supports)
