    Description

    Job Description:

    Hourly Rate: $25-30

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    ·         Lead the assembly, wiring, modification, testing, inspection, and commissioning preparation of switchgear and related electrical equipment.

    ·         Interpret and apply electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.

    ·         Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues efficiently.

    ·         Coordinate workflow and provide guidance to technicians.

    ·         Perform and oversee quality inspections and testing procedures.

    ·         Train, mentor, and develop junior technicians.

    ·         Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, and company quality standards.

    ·         Support production planning and project scheduling.

    ·         Forklift and heavy equipment experience.

    ·         Promote and enforce safe work practices including PPE and Lockout/Tagout.

    Required Qualifications

    ·         High school diploma or GED equivalent.

    ·         Minimum 5 years of experience with switchgear or industrial electrical systems.

    ·         Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

    ·         Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    ·         Prior leadership or lead technician experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    ·         Technical degree or trade certification.

    ·         UL 508A and/or UL 698A certification experience.

    ·         Familiarity with PLCs and VFDs.

    ·         Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    ·         Advanced knowledge of switchgear and power distribution systems.

    ·         Strong leadership and communication skills.

    ·         Excellent organizational abilities.

    ·         Commitment to quality and safety.

    Physical Requirements

    ·         Lift up to 50 pounds.

    ·         Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

    ·         Climb ladders and work in shop environments.

    ·         Work safely around electrical equipment.

    ·         Product quality and workmanship.

    ·         First-pass testing success rate.

    ·         Reduction in rework.

    ·         On-time project completion.

    ·         Safety compliance.
