Shape What Heals: Swiss CNC Turning Specialist
Picture your shift beginning with a clean handoff and a fresh work order in the ERP queue. You review the blueprint and inspection check-sheets, confirm tools and fixtures, and bring a Swiss-style lathe online for a critical implant component. You fine-tune offsets, run a first-article, validate with calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators, and capture quality checks electronically. When a dimension drifts mid-run, you diagnose, adjust, and keep the plan on track for on-time delivery. That’s a day in this role.
How You’ll Contribute
- Own machine setups, changeovers, and CNC program debugging, making precise adjustments and tooling changes to hit spec the first time.
- Operate and maintain CNC Swiss-style lathes along with finishing machines, hand tools, and fixtures; perform thorough burr removal and part finishing.
- Interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions to guide production decisions.
- Measure with confidence using calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators; document results electronically.
- Leverage ERP and machine monitoring systems to manage work orders, track productivity, and record quality checkpoints.
- Partner with CNC programmers by providing actionable feedback; keep setup documentation current in accordance with change control procedures.
- Guide teammates within your area to maximize machine utilization and production attainment; support training as needed.
- Champion continuous improvement for quality and delivery while executing the production plan to meet customer deadlines.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) through program debugging and setup optimization to launch parts successfully.
