We are seeking a Swim Instructor – Instructor Reserve Position to join our team! At Watersafe, we “hire the character and train the skill.” Experience swimming and/or working with children is a plus, but not required to be hired. We are looking for energetic, motivated, and trustworthy individuals first and foremost.
This is a fully trained reserve position designed for instructors who are ready to step into shifts as they become available.

What is the Instructor Reserve Position?
Our Instructor Reserve group is made up of fully trained and certified instructors who are prepared to step into permanent schedules as they open.
• All Instructor Reserve hires complete our comprehensive 4–5 week paid training program
• Upon certification, instructors may be placed into the Instructor Reserve group if a permanent schedule is not immediately available
• During this time, specific weekly hours are not guaranteed
• As instructors change availability or leave the company, shifts are offered to trained Instructor Reserve team members
• Instructor Reserve team members are eligible to pick up substitute shifts and earn substitute pay while awaiting permanent placement
This model allows us to maintain high training standards while ensuring we can quickly fill openings as they arise. Schedules can become available at any time based on business needs.
Pay
$18.75 – $21.75 per hour
+$5/hr Substitute Pay

Responsibilities
• Demonstrate proper swimming form and technique
• Ensure swimming lessons are safe, effective, and fun
• Adapt teaching approaches based on swimmer age and ability
• Communicate progress regularly with swimmers and parents
• Recognize and respond to emergencies following facility protocols
• Enforce all aquatic facility policies and procedures
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Important Note About Hours
This Instructor Reserve position is intended for candidates who are flexible and understand that permanent weekly hours may not be available immediately after certification.
