British Swim School – Cudahy is growing, and we're looking for energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic people to join our swim instructor team!
We're not your typical swim school. We teach children essential water survival skills, build confidence, celebrate accomplishments, and have a whole lot of fun along the way!
Whether you're an experienced swim instructor, a former competitive swimmer, a college student, or someone who simply loves working with kids, we'd love to meet you.
No swim teaching experience? No problem! We provide paid, hands-on training to help you become a confident, successful instructor.
What You'll Do
- Teach engaging, safety-focused swim lessons to children of various ages and abilities
- Help swimmers develop confidence, independence, and essential water survival skills
- Create a fun, encouraging, and positive learning environment
- Build meaningful relationships with swimmers and their families
- Celebrate swimmer progress and accomplishments
- Work alongside a supportive team committed to helping every swimmer succeed
- Continue developing your teaching skills through ongoing training and coaching

Previous experience in swim instruction, competitive swimming, coaching, childcare, teaching, or lifeguarding is a plus — but not required!
Available Shifts & Pay
We're hiring part-time swim instructors for a variety of shifts at our Cudahy location.
- Weekday afternoons/evenings – Starting at $18/hour
- Weekends – Starting at $20/hour
We offer scheduling flexibility while prioritizing consistent weekly availability. Our swimmers benefit from familiar instructors, and we're looking for team members who can commit to their scheduled classes.

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
