    Position Summary

    The full-time position of Senior Vice President/Market Manager will be responsible for representing the Bank brand, developing and servicing loan and deposit volumes for the market in which it operates, and managing public relations for new business in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Bank. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for the overall market performance.
    2. Drive business development of loans, deposits, and Bank products to deepen client relationships.
    3. Meet or exceed volume/production and profitability goals for the assigned market through business development, team leadership, and overall strategic planning aligned with the Bank’s goals.
    4. Direct and oversee the production activities of commercial and consumer lenders in the market; mentor, coach, and perform evaluations.
    5. Accountable for full management of direct reports and overseeing the management of the entire market staff, including hiring, coaching, performance management, professional development, and disciplinary actions.
    6. Cultivate and provide opportunities for rising talent within the organization; mentor and guide team members in developing their thought leadership capabilities and overall contributions to the Bank.
    7. Collaborate with Leadership to develop goals, strategies, business plans, and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, and provide continued analysis of market performance in meeting goals and objectives to determine areas for improvement and increased productivity.
    8. Responsible for the Market lending production, as well as personal production and lending duties. This includes the following:
      1. Meet with existing and potential customers to solicit quality, sound loans that meet the Bank’s lending philosophy and conform to policy guidelines.
      2. Review loan applications and financial information, including collateral; oversee the preparation of documentation and completion of loan closing; manage denials and withdrawals.
      3. Maintain proper file documentation, manage the existing portfolio, and manage and eliminate credit and collateral exceptions.
      4. Manage past due and problem loan relationships.
      5. Service account relationships by approving various negotiable instruments for deposit, transferring funds, authorizing checks for cashing, and determining disposition of daily overdrafts.
    9. Develop new deposit and loan relationships. This includes the following activity:
      1. Prospect new relationships through an outside calling program, manage current Bank relationships to obtain potential customer referrals, and identify opportunities to nurture and strengthen customer loyalty.
      2. Focus on growth of all direct and ancillary products and services to increase market share.
      3. Serve as the Bank’s representative for public relations and community outreach in the market, and participate actively in community events, professional networking organizations, and civic activities.
    10. Work with customers regarding complaint resolution and/or problems, ensuring customer satisfaction with Bank products and services.
    11. Maintain acceptable loan delinquency and charge-off levels for the market.
    12. Ensure the objectives of the Bank’s CRA program are supported within the assigned market.
    13. Ensure the market operates within all applicable regulatory, BSA/AML, and safety-and-soundness requirements, upholding sound risk management practices.
    14. Represent the Bank on local advisory and civic boards, reinforcing Ozona Bank’s community leadership presence.
    15. Provide excellent customer service to existing and potential clients and internal stakeholders.
    16. Attend and present to loan committees, if applicable.
    17. Perform other work-related duties, as assigned. 

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field required. 
    • Five (5) years’ commercial lending experience required.
    • Ten (10) years’ banking experience required.  

    Qualifications  

    • Experience with commercial lending, credit analysis, and financial statement interpretation.
    • SBA lending experience preferred.
    • Deposit and Treasury management sales experience required.
    • Demonstrated success in business development and relationship management.
