MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Survey Technician to join our team in McLean, VA. In this role, you will support engineering projects by coordinating technical requirements, site surveys, material planning, project implementation, and customer needs from planning through completion.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review engineering designs and conduct site surveys to determine project scope, technical requirements, and required materials.
  • Develop accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) and coordinate with Procurement and Requirements Managers to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Estimate labor hours and develop Level of Effort (LOE) projections to support project planning and requirements.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to define and validate scopes of work, technical requirements, priorities, and project expectations.
  • Coordinate with installation and documentation teams to ensure accurate project implementation, technical compliance, and completion of required documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and status reports to senior personnel while providing leadership and support to engineering teams; maintain flexibility to support critical project needs and time-sensitive requests.
  • Local travel will be required between customer buildings throughout Northern VA, areas of Central MD and areas of DC. Temporary assignment to an alternate location in support of special projects may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience, an Associate's Degree with 6+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience using cable testers, AutoCAD, ticketing systems, and schematic capture tools.
  • Knowledge of component compatibility, transmission media, and system interconnection requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate and select appropriate components based on technical requirements, cost, and space limitations.
  • Ability to interpret and support technical designs, schematics, and infrastructure requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD 8570 IAM III certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM & ITOM.
  • Prior experience managing projects from mid-high complexity.
  • ITIL v4 or v5 certification.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices, position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
  • Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50+ pounds, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts. Ascends/descends a ladder, 10+ feet high while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.

The projected compensation range for this position is $97,100.00-$161,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
