Summit Design and Engineering is currently seeking applicants for a Survey Project Manager for full-time
employment in the Raleigh Durham area. To be considered for this position, one must be an NC
Professional Land Surveyor. As a Project Manager, this position will be primarily responsible for
Boundary Surveys, Route Location, As-builts and Easements, and ALTA Surveys, as well as some NCDOT
work using OpenRoads or similar Bentley software. This position offers an excellent opportunity to have

Responsibilities:
- Plan and monitor projects paying attention to budget, schedule, scope, risk, and quality
- Manage, support, and utilize field and CAD technicians
- Drafting in ORD as needed, including pulling together stake books (aka stake-out sheets)
- Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D , and/or oversee drafting technicians
- Perform deed/plat/records research
- Analyze and adjust field data
- Oversee and/or determine Boundary Surveys, Route Location Surveys, As-Builts and
Easements, and ALTA Surveys
- Communicate with clients and other stakeholders including architects, engineers, and
construction personnel.

Position Requirements:
- North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PLS
- Experience with NCDOT projects as well as private-side surveying
- GPS, RTK, VRS and robotic survey experience
- Ability to utilize Bentley ORD and/or Microstation, and Autocad C3D
- Must be a willing and able to listen, learn, and teach others
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of mapping concepts
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Additionally licensed in South Carolina as a PLS
- Ability to use Trimble Business Center
