We are looking for employees who are willing to work hard, solve problems and help us grow.Position Summary:The Survey Project CAD Technician's primary function is the production of survey computations, work maps and plats. Typical projects will include plot plans, mortgage surveys, boundary plats, grading plans, and topographic surveys. Some field work may be required with this position. You will be responsible for meeting project schedules as assigned by your supervisor. This is a mid-level position for this type of job description.Job Responsibilities:All Cadd information shall be produced utilizing current KBJW Cadd StandardsPost-survey field data processingCreate surface models and generate elevation contours from field collected point dataCreate mapping from field collected point data to meet the client/job specific requirementsPreparation and set-up off survey data for Survey CrewsDeed and reference map plottingCalculations for construction layout, as-built surveys and/ or sketchesGrade sheet preparation (cut sheets)ALTA/NSPS land title survey, subdivision plats, lot consolidationsPreparation of metes & bounds descriptionsDrafting of FEMA Elevation certificatesAssist Staff Survey Technicians with their questions and provide limited guidance with their work productPerform other duties as assignedJob Qualifications:High school diploma requiredMinimum 4yearsof progressive experience in AutoCAD (or equivalent college level course credits or relevant subject certifications). Experience with Carlson Software is Experience with Trimble Business Center is desirableField experience is preferredGeneral knowledge of surveying equipment, practices, and principlesStrong knowledge of mathematics through algebra, geometry, and trigonometryGreat attitude and a desire to grow professionallyWork Requirements:Must be aware of, comply with and enforce established Company safety standardsMay require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 poundsAbility to walk construction job sites and climb ladders is necessaryRequires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity,including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex dataOccasional travel to off-site locations to perform work and work-related errands or to attend meetings may be required Why KBJW?
