Expanding Michigan firm with a critical rolefor a Survey CAD Technician is hiring in Novi!
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic mathematics calculations (pipeslopes, areas, volumes, etc.)
- Detail/develop construction plans
- Maintain uniformity in work products byreading/following CAD Standards and Operating Procedures (standards,conventions, guidelines)
- Review/check plans for accuracy
- Provide an estimate of man hours required tocomplete CAD projects
- Process engineering calculations and siteplan/utility layout with minimal supervision
- Process existing/proposed profiles
- Plot legal descriptions for parcels, easement,and right of ways
- Import survey data into Civil 3D
- Produce boundary, topographical, ALTA and as-builtsurveys
- Generate stake-out coordinates/plot informationfor field crew
Requirements:
- High school diploma or minimum of five years ofcivil engineering/surveying computer aided drafting experience
- Associates degree preferred
- 2+ years of professional CAD experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015, MicrostationV8, and GeoPAK preferred
- Ability to use station offset methods to setpoints
- Solid understanding of metric system withability to convert between metric and English
- Experience reading/comprehending simpleinstructions, correspondence and memos
- Experience presenting information to in one-on-oneand small group settings
