About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing and well-established surveying and engineering consulting firm seeking a Survey CAD Technician to support a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, transportation, utility, land development, and building projects throughout the New York metropolitan area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD professional looking to gain exposure to both public agency and private-sector projects, working alongside experienced surveyors, engineers, and project managers on some of the region"s most impactful developments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop survey drawings, base maps, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, utility surveys, and as-built plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collect field data for preparation of surveys by using surveying equipment
• Assist in the preparation of subdivision, site development, utility, transportation, and infrastructure-related survey deliverables.
• Review and update existing survey records, plats, and mapping data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician, Survey Designer, or related role.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey drafting workflows.
• Experience preparing topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, utility, and construction survey drawings.
• Understanding of land surveying principles, coordinate systems, and mapping standards.
• Ability to interpret field notes, survey data, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
