As a Security Officer assigned to a waste management and recycling facility, your primary responsibility will be conducting security patrols, monitoring site activity, and protecting client assets. Whether performing vehicle patrols, monitoring access points, or conducting surveillance throughout the property, we need officers who can adapt and maintain a strong security presence.

Essential Job Function:

Travel between multiple work sites may be required. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and have reliable transportation available to perform site visits and other job-related travel.

Must be able to work at Danbury and Shelton, CT locations as needed.

                  Monday Tuesday Friday 10PM-5AM & Saturday 5AM-5PM & Sunday 5PM-12PM

Responsibilities for Waste Management Security Officer:

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the facility
• Monitor site entrances, gates, and restricted areas
• Perform surveillance of company property, equipment, vehicles, and assets
• Observe and report suspicious activity, theft, vandalism, or safety concerns
• Control access points and verify visitor and contractor credentials
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms, and potential security threats
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining site security
• Write detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations
• Collaborate with local authorities during serious situations
• Ensure the safety and protection of employees, visitors, property, and equipment

Qualifications for Waste Management Security Officer:

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
• Strong observation, surveillance, and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently in an industrial environment
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement, or Industrial Security experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
