Surveillance Officer Part Time

Conduct random surveillance of daily activities relating to any connection with the financial aspects of the Gaming Facility, i.e., Slot Operations, Table Games, Cage/Vault Operations, Count/Drop Operations, Impressed Banks, etc. Maintain strict confidentiality relating to known affairs of the Department, the Tribal Gaming Commission, the Gaming Facility Operations, and their employees.

REPORTS TO:                    Surveillance Supervisor
SALARY:                             $17.00 - $18.00/hour, DOE
POSITON TYPE:              Permanent/Part Time/Non-Exempt (29 Hrs/week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Protect the integrity of the assets of the Chemehuevi Indian Tribes Gaming Enterprises.
• Maintain strict confidentiality relating to known affairs of the Department, the Tribal Gaming Commission, the Gaming Facility Operations, and their employees.
• Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and audio equipment.
• Monitor and observe multiple areas simultaneously to ensure safety and security
• Detect violations of the Tribal Gaming Compact and Tribal Ordinance as they relate to gaming.
• Report suspicious or unusual activity or behavior to the appropriate authorities
• Conduct random surveillance of daily activities relating to any connection with the financial aspects of the Gaming Facility, i.e., Slot Operations, Table Games, Cage/Vault Operations, Count/Drop Operations, Impressed Banks, etc.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and report any unauthorized entry.
• Record and maintain accurate logs of all activities in the surveillance room.
• Prepare requested visual evidence and maintain appropriate records system for Tribal Gaming Commission review.
• Assist in special investigations by conducting targeted surveillance as required.
• Be familiar with regulations and internal controls of various departments.
• Control access to the surveillance room in accordance with established guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE: 
This is a night and weekend position.  Will work as late as 3:00 AM on Friday and Saturday, and as late as 1:00 AM Sunday - Thursday.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must qualify for a Gaming License.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Experience & Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in surveillance or security preferred
• Computer Skills (Microsoft Office products).
• Casino Experience (slots and table games) preferred.
