Surgical Technologist Specialist | The Oaks Outpatient Surgical Center | Part-Time | Days

Responsibilities: The Surgical Technologist Specialist responsibilities are to assist as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery. Required: Association of Surgical Technologists (AST), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA).

Responsibilities:

The Surgical Technologist Specialist responsibilities are to assist as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery. The technologist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse.

Schedule

FTE .50 (20 hours/week)

Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm

Days: Monday-Friday

Location: Gainesville, FL

Qualifications:

Education

Required: Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist program

Experience

Preferred: 0-1 years surgical technologist experience

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Required: Association of Surgical Technologists (AST), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA). Required to maintain active certification.
