- Schedule: 10-hour shifts with alternating days. (Work Mon/Tues/Thu/Fri)
- Hours: 6:30am - 5:00pm
- Main Duties: Surgical case set up, turnovers, preparing instruments and equipment for surgical cases, scrubbing surgical cases.

The Perioperative Services staff at Barnes Jewish West County Hospital provide excellent Surgical Care by partnering with an extraordinary team of physicians and health care professionals. They are able to offer the comforts of a small community hospital. combined with the resources of the world-renowned BJC HeathCare System and Washington University Medical School. Our highly educated and dedicated staff continually strive to improve the health of the people and communities they serve.

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities
Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.
