    Sightpath Medical is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support a growing ophthalmology ASC in the Mills River/Asheville area. This unique hybrid role combines operating room support with inventory management responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys organization, autonomy, and being an integral part of a high-performing surgical team.This position primarily supports inventory management and operating room operations, with opportunities to scrub ophthalmic procedures as business needs evolve.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage ophthalmic inventory and supplies stored at an off-site inventory location.
    • Perform inventory counts, ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and replenishment to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
    • Transport inventory and supplies between the storage location and ASC using a company-provided vehicle.
    • Assist with operating room turnover alongside facility surgical staff to ensure efficient case flow.
    • Prepare surgical equipment and supplies for ophthalmic procedures.
    • Scrub into ophthalmic procedures as needed to support the surgical team, with opportunities for additional ophthalmology training.
    • Collaborate with surgeons, ASC staff, and Sightpath teammates to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional patient care.

    What We're Looking For

    • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
    • Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or certification eligible.
    • Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required.
    • Strong organizational skills with experience managing inventory or supplies.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with surgeons and ASC staff.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Comfortable using company-issued iPhone and iPad.

    Relocation Assistance:

    We offer relocation allowances for qualified candidates who may need to move to join our team.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Valid drivers license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)/driving record.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills will utilize a company iPhone and iPad
    • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with medical staff.
