Responsibilities:
In this role the Surgical Technologist responsibilities is to assist the surgeon(s) by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques for procedures performed in the Operating Room and provide patient care in the clinical setting. The Surgical Tech II is also responsible for the care, handling and maintenance of basic surgical equipment and instrumentation.
Schedule
FTE: 1.0
Hours: 6:45am-3:15pm (Flexibility needed based on patient load)
Days: Monday-Friday
Location: Jacksonville, FL
This position requires a rotating call schedule for weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:Required Education
Required: GED or High School Diploma AND Graduate of surgical technologist program
Preferred: Associate's degree in related field
Licensure/Certification

Experience
Required: Minimum of six (6) months surgical technologist experience
Preferred: 3-5 years of working experience as a cardiothoracic-vascular surgical technologist and assistant in a specialty line (Cardiology, Neurology, or Orthopedics)
