Surgical Technologist (CST)

Pay Range: $40 - $44/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide sterile surgical support during operative procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist the surgical team with maintaining a sterile field.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Perform surgical counts according to hospital protocols.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment appropriately.
• Follow infection-control and sterile-technique standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized operating room environment.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other OR personnel.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required
• Previous Travel Experience – Required
• Level I Trauma Experience – Required
• Strong/high rating on the Surgical Technologist Skills Checklist – Required
• Burn experience – Preferred
• Strong operating room experience and sterile technique skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Must be available for call, weekends, and holidays.
