    Job Description This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus based on your eligibility and experience.

    0-1 years of experience 2-year commitment: $10,000 3-year commitment: $12,000

    1-2 years of experience 2-year commitment: $10,000 3-year commitment: $17,000

    2 years of experience 2-year commitment: $15,000 3-year commitment: $25,000

    GENERAL OVERVIEW Performs direct and indirect technical tasks for patients before, during, and after surgical interventions.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Initiates changes to physician preference list and assures that team members are aware of changes. (25%)
    • Maintains the inventory for the service area assigned. (20%)
    • Performs sponge, needle, and instrument count. (15%)
    • Orients new team members to assigned service area. Directs the work of lower level surgical technicians. (15%)
    • Assists in setting up the surgical operating suite with appropriate instruments and supplies. (15%)
    • Scrubs in prescribed manner, hands physician instruments required during surgery. (10%)
    • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum

    • Surgical Technologist (ST) hired after 12/29/2020 require one of the following:
    • Education and Certification: Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion and nationally recognized certification (CST, TS-C) within 6 months of hire. Military programs accepted.
    • Pre-existing Employment: Employment as a surgical technologist by this facility before 12/29/2020 or at another facility within the two years prior to 12/29/2020.
    • CPR - American Heart Association

    Preferred

    • 3 years surgical scrub specialty experience
