    Grow Your Surgical Career with Virginia’s Leader in Orthopedic Care. 

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) )to join our surgical team. In this role, you will assist in operative procedures by ensuring proper setup, instrument handling, and maintenance of a sterile environment to support optimal surgical outcomes. This position will include call, holidays and weekends. Shift will be 3 12 hours (6:45 am to 7:15 pm). 

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Serve as the scrub technologist during surgical and invasive procedures. 
    • Assemble, prepare, and organize surgical instruments and supplies. 
    • Ensure proper sterile technique and field maintenance at all times. 
    • Assist with sterile draping and provide instruments to the surgical team. 
    • Clean and prepare instruments for decontamination and transport. 
    • Support turnover and setup of operating rooms between procedures. 
    • Participate in ongoing education (10 contact hours annually) and skills validation. 
    • Adhere to site, side, and level verification protocols during procedures. 
    • Collaborate effectively with surgical and perioperative staff. 
    • Provide excellent customer service and uphold patient privacy standards. 
    • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and team meetings. 
    • Comply with all OSHA, AAAHC, and internal policies and standards. 

    Qualifications 

    • High school diploma or GED 
    • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program 
    • Current Surgical Technologist license in the State of Virginia 
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification 
    • Experience in sterile processing (preferred)

    Compensation Range for this position:

    $25.67 - $38.51

    Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.
