    Position Summary:
    The Operating Room Certified Technician is responsible for the provision of patient care related to the scrub functions during an operative procedure and assisting in care related to patient outcomes.
     
    Essential Position Requirements:
    Current certification as an Operating Room Technician.
     
    Skills and Abilities:
    1. Provides a report to relief personnel which is accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient’s condition and response to care.
    2. Provides pertinent procedural information to the care team.
    3. Discuss procedural information with other health team members in an appropriate environment.
    4. Maintains confidentiality of all facility and patient information as required by facility policy.
    5. Fosters a positive and professional surgery center environment by interacting with all people in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner by participating as a flexible team member.
    6. Diffuses/resolves conflict by appropriately communicating with those involved.
    7. Accepts constructive criticism and gives suggestions in a professional manner.
    8. Provides input regarding equipment needs / supply needs.
    9. Completes patient charges in accordance with facility procedure.
    10. Demonstrates sound cost containment techniques.
