• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $48.29 $52.29 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 10-hour days, 0630 1630 (4x10); Call Requirement: 2 days a week and every third weekend; Weekend Requirement: When needed
• Travel Requirements: Travel experience required; local candidates also accepted
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This facility provides surgical services supporting multi-specialty inpatient, outpatient, and emergent surgical procedures. Procedures include Vascular, General, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Urology, EENT, OB/GYN, Plastics, OMF, Trauma, Dental, Pediatric, Neonatal, and Endoscopy, as well as organ harvesting.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrubbing for every case
• Float to Main OR and Vascular OR as needed
• Apply Fire Safety, Aseptic Technique, Laser Safety, Sharp Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
• Participate in call shifts (2 days per week and every third weekend)
• Work weekends when needed

Required Skills

• Must have experience working with Adults through Geriatrics
• Experience in CVOR and Trauma work settings required
• Experience with Cardiac and Vascular surgery cases
• Fire Safety
• Aseptic Technique
• Laser Safety
• Sharp Safety
• Specimen Handling/labeling
• Sterilization/Disinfection
• Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
• Trauma Level II Experience
• Traveler experience required

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a community hospital
• Experience working with Cardiac and Vascular surgery case types
• Experience with organ donation
• Epic

Education Requirements

• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Required Experience

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required

• Float requirement: Yes will float to Main OR and Vascular OR as needed
• Scheduling type: Manager determines
• Unit orientation: 40 hours
• Scrubs: Provided
• Unit systems: EPIC, Pyxis, SBAR
