    Job Description

    The Surgical Pathologist, Pharma Services provides pathology support for clinical trials and pharmaceutical programs, with a focus on case review, diagnostic interpretation, case sign-out, and validation activities. This role works closely with project managers, laboratory teams, and clients to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality pathology services.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Review and sign out clinical trial pathology cases.
    • Interpret biopsy, resection, and cytology specimens.
    • Review and interpret laboratory and pathology data.
    • Support assay and clinical trial validation activities.
    • Collaborate with Project Managers to address study and client needs.
    • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
    • Assist laboratory staff with pathology-related case issues.
    • Communicate with clients and referring physicians as needed.
    • Support development and implementation of new diagnostic and biomarker testing services.
    • Maintain high standards for quality, turnaround time, and client service.

    Job Requirements / Qualifications

    • M.D. or D.O. degree required.
    • Board certified or board eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
    • Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology strongly preferred.
    • Two or more years of attending-level surgical pathology experience preferred.
    • Active, unrestricted California medical license required.
    • Additional licenses in Florida, New York, and/or Texas are a plus.
    • Ability to meet CLIA '88 requirements, as applicable.
    • Strong diagnostic, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory systems.
