About the Role:Dr. Hakakian Dental Group Inc. is looking for a skilled and dedicated Surgical Dental Assistant specializing in Implants & Oral Surgery to join our dynamic team in Reseda, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced dental professionals in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.
We are specifically looking for someone with strong hands-on experience assisting with
dental implant placement, surgical extractions, and oral surgery procedures.
This is not an entry-level position. Prior surgical and implant assisting experience is required.
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during implant placements, extractions, and oral surgery procedures
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and operatory prior to procedures
- Take and process dental X-rays, including CBCT/3D imaging as needed
- Monitor and support patient comfort and safety throughout surgical procedures
- Mix and prepare dental materials, bone grafts, and surgical supplies
- Maintain accurate patient records and document clinical notes in dental software
- Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up support to patients
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, infection control, and sterilization protocols
Requirements:- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in oral surgery or implants
- Valid California Dental Assistant registration and Radiation Safety certification
- Familiarity with implant systems, surgical kits, and oral surgery instrumentation
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and digital X-ray systems
- Strong chairside manner with the ability to put anxious patients at ease
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
- Team-oriented, reliable, and professional demeanor
