Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.Surgical Coordinator Description:This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is comfortable with scheduling surgical procedures, medical terminology, multitask oriented, motivated, organized, must be a self-starter and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT surgical procedures.Surgical Coordinator Responsibilities:Answering patient calls and surgery inquiriesPatient Counseling under the direction of the Surgery manager and surgeonVerification of surgical benefits and obtaining authorizationsScheduling surgical procedures at our credentialed centers and hospitalsCommunicating and updating patients on surgery statusReconciliation of deposits and copays for surgeryEnsure medical clearance, pre-op and post op instructions are relayed to patient in a timely mannerObtaining proper consents for appropriate surgical proceduresProvide updates to surgeon in a timely mannerSurgical Coordinator Requirements:Prior medical surgical procedure scheduling experienceClinical experience is a plusAbility to prioritizeWorking knowledge of medical terminologyStrong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voiceStrong interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsThe ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians, and team membersEMR experienceStrong computer literacyBi-lingual is a plusBenefits for a Surgical Coordinator:Medical, Dental and Vision: Effective 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.Company paid STD, LTD, Life: Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of full-time employment.401(K): Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of employment.6 Paid Holidays: Effective immediately.PTO: Time earned per pay periodPhysical Demands: Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between FENTA offices for support purposes. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
