About the Opportunity
Lloyd Staffing is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Coordinator for a busy, high-volume medical practice. This position plays a critical role in coordinating surgical procedures, obtaining authorizations, and ensuring patients are fully prepared for surgery from scheduling through completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Obtain insurance authorizations, precertifications, and approvals for surgical procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule surgeries, including operating room bookings and specialized equipment requests.
- Schedule patient history and physical examinations (H&P), pre-admission testing, and medical clearances.
- Review and verify patient insurance information and coverage requirements.
- Serve as a liaison among providers, nursing staff, operating room personnel, ambulatory surgery centers, and vendor representatives.
- Maintain and organize surgical scheduling documentation and patient records.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide administrative support as needed.
- Assist with cross-coverage responsibilities within the ambulatory surgery department.
- Ensure all surgical cases are coordinated accurately and efficiently while meeting established deadlines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time medical office experience.
- Experience with insurance verification, authorizations, or surgical scheduling preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Professional telephone and communication skills.
- Proficiency with standard office software and electronic medical record systems.
