    Description

    Our well-established ENT practice located in North Atlanta is seeking an on-site surgery scheduler to work in conjunction with one other scheduler to support 4 ENT physicians.

    At Advanced Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy, we strive to provide a high level of service to our patients, and this role is essentail to patients who are in need of surgery or in-office procedures! Our surgery schedulers are responsible for handling all aspects of scheduling from when the order is placed--checking benefits, obtaining authorizations, scheduling procedures with facilities or in-office, coordinating with vendors, collecting deposits, and scheduling all pre and post-op visits. This person needs to be a team player and have excellent communication skills. There are many personalities involved between patients, vendors, facilities, and coworkers, so being a people-person is a must!

    Summary of Responsibilities

    • Verify insurance benefits
    • Obtain insurance authorizations
    • Schedule procedures, as well as pre and post-op appointments
    • Collect surgery deposits, depending on insurance benefits
    • Coordinate with various facilities where procedures are performed
    • Ensure communication between surgical assistants, facilities, and office staff, so that surgeries go smoothly
    • Prepare pre-op facesheets for
    • Answer and promptly return patient phone calls
    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • Positive, friendly personality
    • Physician office experience
    • ENT experience preferred but not required
    • Greenway Health PrimeSuite software experience a plus
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong organizational skills a must
    • Ability to prioritize tasks
