    About the Role:
    Ophthalmology  in Las Vegas, NV is looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Surgery Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring seamless surgical experiences for patients from scheduling through procedure day.     Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, pre-op appointments, and post-op follow-ups
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between patients, surgeons, and hospital/surgical facility staff
    • Obtain and verify insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for surgical cases
    • Prepare and manage surgical paperwork, patient records, and consent documentation
    • Communicate pre-operative and post-operative instructions clearly to patients and families
    • Coordinate with anesthesia, OR staff, and other clinical teams to confirm surgical readiness
    • Track and follow up on pending cases, referrals, and outstanding authorizations
    Requirements:
    • Prior experience as a Surgery Coordinator, Medical Scheduler, or similar healthcare role preferred
    • Knowledge of surgical scheduling, insurance authorization, and medical terminology
    • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical scheduling software
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical or healthcare certification a plus
