About This Role
The Surgery Coordinator exists to advocate for Redirect Health members by coordinating surgical care, managing costs, and ensuring high-quality outcomes at fair, negotiated rates.
In this role, you will:
- Serve Redirect Health members navigating surgical procedures
- Be responsible for coordinating surgical care, negotiating costs, and advocating on behalf of members
- Directly impact member confidence, access to care, and affordability within the healthcare system
This is a hands-on role for someone who:
- Enjoys advocacy, coordination, and problem-solving in complex healthcare situations
- Takes ownership and follows through
- Wants their work to have a real-world impact on people’s lives and health
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Own: Surgical coordination from intake through completion, including timelines and communication
- Support: Members by prioritizing their needs with compassion and clarity
- Collaborate with: Internal providers, hospitals, surgical facilities, anesthesiologists, and external provider offices
- Improve: Cost management, care coordination efficiency, and member experience
- Advocate for: Members by negotiating fair and equitable rates with providers
A strong performer in this role is known for:
- Building trust with members during high-stress healthcare moments
- Communicating clearly and confidently with providers and facilities
- Consistently meeting or exceeding KPIs tied to coordination and advocacy goals

Success in this role is measured by:
- Timely and effective coordination of surgical care
- Successful negotiation of fair procedural costs
- Member satisfaction and confidence throughout the surgical process
- Achievement of coordination, cost-management, and advocacy KPIs
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Brings relevant experience in healthcare administrative support or case management
- Communicates clearly and with empathy
- Takes ownership and follows through
- Uses analytical and decision-making skills to navigate complex care scenarios
- Works well across teams and external partners
- Cares deeply about advocating for patients
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare administrative support or case management-related role, required
- Medical billing background, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and an EMR system, preferred
