What You'll Do- Assist in adult cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, ascending aortic surgeries, and complex procedures such as MEchanical circulatory support and redo sternotomies.
- Prepare operating rooms and equipment, including the Maquet EVH System.
- Collaborate with a team of cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and support staff.
- Provide surgical first assist support during high-volume cardiac cases.
- Support emergent and scheduled surgeries with flexibility for varied call schedules.
- Document procedures accurately using Epic EMR system.
- Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care in a busy academic setting.
What You Need- Board certification in relevant specialty; MO license required
- BLS certification; RNFA preferred for NP candidates
- Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience
- Willing to obtain necessary licensing if required
- Ability to manage complex surgical cases and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
