What You’ll Do
- Support cardiothoracic surgeons during procedures such as vein/radial artery harvests, chest tube placement, and vascular access
- Perform intraoperative tasks including intubation, extubation, and placement/removal of central and arterial lines
- Document patient care and surgical procedures using Epic EMR system
- Assist with robotic lung surgeries (experience a plus, not required)
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Support staff including surgeons, PAs, and nurses in a fast-paced clinical environment
What You Need
- Required:
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- DEA certification
- 1-2 years experience in cardiothoracic surgery, with at least 1 year as a first assist in CVOR
- Preferred:
- Experience with robotic lung procedures
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in adult cardiothoracic care
