What Youll Do
- Support cardiothoracic surgeon with patient care and procedures in the CVICU and step-down units
- Assist with surgeries including pacemaker, chest tube, IABP removal, and A-line placement
- Provide coverage for approximately 4 days per month, including call hours (3 pm7 am)
- Manage 1015 adult/geriatric patients daily, including surgeries and rounds
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient records
- Ensure compliance with all safety and procedural standards
What You Need
- Board Certification or eligibility as a Physician Assistant (PA) in Arizona
- Current, unrestricted Arizona PA license and DEA license
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
- Proficiency in supporting complex surgical procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
