What Youll Do
- Examine adult patients and formulate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Provide clinical and surgical care within the cardiothoracic surgery department.
- Perform endoscopic saphenous vein and radial artery harvests.
- Place and remove chest tubes, catheters, central lines, and arterial lines.
- Perform patient intubation and extubation.
- Document patient progress and surgical care in Epic.
- Collaborate with surgeons, PA-Cs, RNs, and other members of the care team.
What You Need
Required- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant qualification.
- Current board certification.
- Active state license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Current DEA registration.
- 12 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience.
- For PA applicants: at least two years of experience, including one year as a first assist in a CVOR specific to cardiac surgery.
Preferred- Robotic lung surgery experience.
