What You’ll Do:
- Provide specialized nursing care to postoperative cardiothoracic surgery patients in the CVICU or step-down units
- Support cardiac surgeries, including procedures like temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement
- Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
What You Need:
Required:
- Valid Arizona RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Proficiency with EVH practice
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- DEA registration (if applicable)
Preferred:
- Experience supporting adult and geriatric cardiothoracic patients
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
